Mike Wallace might have been one of the biggest names on the free agent market last year, but that does not remove him from possible trade talks after a down season. With several teams still eyeing a big wide receiver, there would certainly be interest in Wallace. After multiple trade rumors have popped up during free agency, Wallace is denying any of them are true.

It is no secret, Wallace did not have the best first season with the Miami Dolphins. The wide receiver struggled in the beginning to develop chemistry with quarterback Ryan Tannehill. He complained several times to the media as his targets were not as high as his contract dictates. The coaching staff was not thrilled. Wallace did rebound somewhat and put together 930 yards, but that was only good enough for second place on the team.

With an extremely large contract to his name and a somewhat "down" year, it is only natural that the Dolphins explore their options with the wide receiver, knowing that draft picks could be in their future. However, Wallace is denying the idea that he is going anywhere, saying the Dolphins would never make that move.

Not only is Wallace denying the trade, but sources close to the team are saying Miami has already spoken out against these reports as well. Miami Herald reporter Armando Salguero writes that any report of a Wallace trade is completely false. The wide receiver will remain a big factor of the team's offense and the coaching staff is working on how to better use them.

This is likely bad news for several teams. The Oakland Raiders were considered a team that would likely make a move. Oakland kept an eye on almost every big-named wide receiver on the block including Eric Decker and DeSean Jackson, but never made a move for either player. The Raiders are still in desperate need of another offensive target, but will be forced to settle on the draft for help.

The San Francisco 49ers were also a favorite to make a deal after head coach Jim Harbaugh requested another big playmaker for quarterback Colin Kaepernick. With Wallace remaining where he is, interest is only getting higher for Sammy Watkins and Mike Evans as the draft draws closer.
