The NASCAR race from Texas for the sprint Cup event is live on Monday at 12 pm noon from FOX and it comes after the race was postponed at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday due to rain and now things are moving with Tony Stewart taking the pole and it was the first postponement of the season on the circuit.

The weather was a mess for most of the weekend and now the Sprint Cup Series at Texas Motor Speedway is underway and things just got started and now Stewart is in the pole. Stewart had a rough 2013 and he ended up missing the back half of last season with a broken leg and now he comes in at the top position and has the chance for a very solid performance and he could us after the way the season started up.

The race was named the Duck Commander 500 and the intelligent and always friendly "Duck Dynasty" crew was on hand to get things started up and that was pushed aside on Sunday for the delay. There have been other delays this season but not a postponement, including at Bristol Motor Speedway where there were multiple delays and now this is the third time over the past seven races that there has been an issue with the rain and that included the Opening week race at Daytona.

The 1.5-mile speedway needed time to dry and the rain did not hold up enough for that to happen. Stewart ended up in the pole as his first since back in 2012 in Atlanta. This time around it was his 15th pole and he had a 195.454 mph lap to get the top spot and he won out over Brad Keselowski in qualifying. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is in first place in the standings ahead of Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch and Keselowski, who is ahead of Kurt Busch and Kevin Harvick. The race next week will be at Darlington Raceway for the Darlington Cup and Matt Kenseth comes in as the last winner, while Kyle Busch won the Texas race last season.
