The team has a huge matchup later in the season with Liverpool and that could end up deciding the Premier League title and Jose Mourinho has said that the team will not overlook the Potters and that they are ready for the back stretch of the schedule. After playing the second leg in the Champions League, the team matches up away with Swansea City and then will play against Sunderland at home before the major matchup with Liverpool at Anfield and then the team plays against Norwich City and Cardiff City on the road to finish the season schedule.
Chelsea held the top spot in the Premier League for some time after knocking Arsenal off and then they got jumped by Liverpool after the loss to Crystal Palace. Eden Hazard continues to lead the club in goals and assists and the team comes in hoping to close the gap before Liverpool plays on Sunday and the matchup on Saturday could give them a lead on the EPL table for a short time before they play. Stoke City comes into the match playing well and that could mean trouble for Chelsea after they previously lost to the team this season, but the Blues have been marvelous at Stamford Bridge under Mourinho and he will have the team prepared.
Chelsea played Stoke in the FA Cup and won that matchup and now the two teams are hoping for a victory and the Blues sure could use it, as they are just two points back on the league standings and now they also have to deal with Manchester City, who moved up for the time being after their matchup early. Chelsea has been the mix after being out of things over the past two seasons and Stoke comes in after a nice win at home against Stoke City and they also won against Aston Villa and West Ham United and that came after a draw with Norwich and before that they won a big game with Arsenal at home.
