The NHL playoffs for 2014 are starting soon and the standings has the division leaders clinched into the postseason, as the Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins, Anaheim Ducks, Chicago Blackhawks, St. Louis Blues, Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks have all punched their tickets already as the schedule comes to a close.

The eastern conference has the Bruins in the top spot and they have clinched from the Atlantic division and they have a huge lead over Montreal, while the Penguins are likely going to clinch the division soon. The team has a nice lead over the NY Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers and those two teams are in playoff position in the division over the wild card spot. The standings has the Detroit Red Wings and the Columbus Blue Jackets as the wild card teams in the east, while the Minnesota Wild and Phoenix Coyotes are in the west spots.

The Central has all three teams clinched, as the St. Louis Blues, Colorado Avalanche and Chicago Blackhawks are all in and they are close and battling for the division title. Minnesota is in the central and Phoenix is in the pacific, while the Sharks and Ducks have clinched out of that division. The LA Kings are in playoff position ahead of the Coyotes and they are looking to clinch soon as well.
