NBA Draft 2014 Rumors: Andrew Wiggins, Aaron Gordon To Declare As Joel Embiid, Jabari Parker, Julius Randle, Marcus Smart Top 5 Picks?

The NBA Draft is fast approaching and as teams finish up in the NCAA tournament, players will start declaring for the draft and on Monday two names in Andrew Wiggins and Aaron Gordon may make it official, while many expect Joel Embiid, Jabari Parker, Julius Randle and Marcus Smart to follow suit and some of those names are expected to be top 5 picks in June when the event goes down.

All those names are almost guaranteed lottery picks and both Wiggins and Parker are expected to declare, while Embiid almost surely will after this season with Kansas. According to Pro Basketball Talk, Gordon is expected to announce that he will declare for the draft, while ESPN.com is reporting that Wiggins will make it official on Monday after just one season with the Kansas Jayhawks and that ended with an early loss in the NCAA tournament.

Gordon would be one of the top targets in the draft if he comes out after averaging 12.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 blocks and 0.9 steals as a freshman and was named the Pac-12 frosh of the year this season. Gordon easily will be a top 10 pick and his size at 6-foot-9 and 225 pounds makes him one that scouts will fawn over. ESPN.com is reporting that Wiggins will be making his announcement at a press conference on Monday and it's scheduled at 3 pm and it could make for two straight top picks in the NBA draft from Canada after Anthony Bennett was taken last season.

Wiggins led the team with 17.1 points and also added 5.9 rebounds per game last season and now he could be on his way out along with Embiid. Wiggins was predicted to be the number one overall pick before the season and now he could end up following that path, as he was named the Big 12 freshman of the year and made it in as a first-team all-conference selection as well. Parker is another name to watch as players continue to declare.
