Arsenal are ready to step up their interest in Alan Dzagoev, after the Russian's impressive performances in Euro 2012 caught the eye of some of the biggest clubs in the world.

Dzagoev is the leading scorer in the European championships, having netted three goals for his country in 2 games. The CSKA Moscow attacking midfielder has been on the Gunners radar for quite some time now and Arsene Wenger is a known admirer of the 21-year-old's talents.

According to several reports, it is understood Arsenal are preparing a $20 million bid for the Dzagoev, who has just six months remaining on his contract. However, considering his contract situation, the playmaker could be available for a lot less.

Dzagoev is seen as the perfect replacement for fellow Russian Andrei Arshavin, with the forward expected to seal a permanent move to Zenit St Petersburg. Arsenal will be boosted by Arshavin's form for Russia and are reportedly asking for around $12 million for the 31-year-old record signing.

Dzagoev, however, refused to speculate on his future, saying he was only concentrating on Russia's Euro 2012 campaign. The Euro 2008 semi-finalists are in pole position to qualify after picking up four points from their two games. They face Greece in their final match, knowing a point will be enough for them to qualify for the knockout stage.

"Of course, I have the desire to try myself in other clubs in Europe." Dzagoev said.

"But I'll think about it only after the tournament. Now I'm doing my own job here.

Dzagoev said he believes he did not play up to his potential in the first two games, and hopes to do better. "I don't think that I've played two good games. Yes, I scored in the second game, but it wasn't as good as the first game. I lost a lot of balls."
