Mar 13, 2014 03:43 PM EDT

Tottenham and Benfica are playing live on Thursday in the Europa League Third Round and the match will be streaming online for the Spurs as they host the team at White Hart Lane and it comes after the team lost on the road in the EPL to Chelsea and the Hotspur will look to turn things around for the match at 4:05 pm ET.

Tottenham comes in after a loss to the Clues on the road at Stamford Bridge and now they have the chance to turn things around and this will be a good test for the team ahead of a match against Arsenal and this next stretch could determine where the Spurs fall in the Premier League by the end of the year and any chance they have for the Champions League comes in this back part of the schedule, As Chelsea, Liverpool, the Gunners and Manchester City have all been playing well at the top of the league standings.

Tottenham lost to Chelsea but won before that at home against Cardiff City and against Dnipro in the Europa League at home in the match before that and now they have another game at White Hart Lane. The team had been down 1-0 to Dnipro in the first match in the Europe League and they made a comeback and now they host Benfica first before a return trip and that will be big when that goes to Estadio da Luz and that will coming after the matchup with the Gunners over the weekend.

The back end of things has a tough schedule for the Spurs, as they play against Southampton at home after the Europe League second leg and then the team plays on the road against Liverpool and that will be at the Anfield before the team returns home to play against Sunderland. Coming down the line the schedule is better, but the team has to win this next stretch of games or get positive results to stay in the EPL mix.

Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado have been the most consistent players for the team and they are leading in both goals scored and assists this season and they come in looking to move up on the league table, as they are just four points behind Man City and the tough thing is that Man City has three more games to play than the Spurs.

Chelsea comes into the weekend in first place and they have a nice lead over Liverpool and Arsenal, while Man city is chasing and Tottenham and Manchester United are in the next two positions and any chance that those teams has to move up must come over the next couple weeks or it will be too much for the clubs to handle to get into the top part of the Premier League by season's end.
