The NHL trade deadline is coming on March 5 and a number of players that could move includes Andrew MacDonald, Martin Brodeur, Jaromir Jagr, James Reimer, Ryan Kesler, Dan Girardi, Mike Cammalleri and Ryan Callahan and that could make for a very interesting playoffs push for a number of clubs in the league heading into the back half of the schedule.

The Rangers are likely to move either Ryan Callahan or Dan Girardi, while the New Jersey Devils could use Martin Brodeur and Jaromir Jagr to beef up their roster before the postseason. The Buffalo Sabres are an interesting team to watch, as they have Matt Moulson, Steve Ott and Ryan Miller and all three of those players could be moved before the deadline. The move of Miller has been speculated upon for quite some time, while Moulson came from the Islanders in the Thomas Vanek trade and now both of those players could move again and teams like the LA Kings, Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings could be interested in a move.

Callahan will get the most attention heading into the deadline, as he plays for a big market team and is the captain and since he is having a down year, the team could be more willing to move him. Glen Sather has offered a five year deal, but Callahan has asked for at least six or seven and that is about how much money he wants per season, with the salary being in the $6.5 to $7 million range. Rumors of a Martin St. Louis deal have come up with the Lightning, as he could be on his way out as well and he has stated that he will only waive his no trade clause for the Rangers.

Miller is going to be an unrestricted free agent and according to ESPN.com, the Sabres have not rules out re-signing Miller, but only if it's at the right price. The team will not give away Miller for a so-so package and they may rather re-sign him than trade him for less than the value they think he is. The Maple Leafs could look to get in on the action with some of these players, including Kesler and they may move James Reimer as well, according to the Sporting News.

Andrew MacDonald is another interesting player to watch, as he is 27 years old and about to his free agency and with the way he has played, he will have plenty of suitors. There are a number of teams that could fit with him and the Islanders are not expected to give him a contract extension at this time and he is under a very favorable contract for teams right now. MacDonald is not going to be a big scorer, as he has just 24 points in 60 games this season and that's about in line with his past performance, but that is much better than most defenseman and he has had at least 14 assists in three of the last four seasons.
