The Denver Broncos need to upgrade at linebacker this offseason and the free agent market has some names to explore, including D'Qwell Jackson, Brandon Spikes, Anthony Spencer and Brian Orakpo and the Cleveland Browns linebacker could be the best fit for the team.

Jackson was released by the Browns this week and he will have plenty of suitors, as Pro Football Talk reports that the Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans are interested in signing him. The Broncos could use some more depth after what happened when they lost Von Miller last season and Jackson could be a player that comes on the cheap, as he is in his 30s and is a veteran, but he also is coming off of another fine season with the Browns. The release from the Browns was more about money than talent and he was cut since he was set to get a $4 million bonus in March and now he is a free agent.

The Broncos look like they could be a great fit, as Jackson can play various positions and is a leader on defense. Jackson made 141 tackles last season with 1.5 sacks along with one interception and one forced fumble and the Broncos may need some depth, as both Wesley Woodyard and Paris Lenon are free agents, as are a number of other players on defense. Jackson will be 31 this season, but eh clearly has some skills left in the tank and that last year was his fifth 100 tackle season and he has also been very durable, playing in a full schedule in four seasons in the league and missing just six games over two seasons in 2009 and 2010.

The team also could look at names like Brandon Spikes and Anthony Spencer, as those players like are leaving the Patriots and Cowboys respectively. Spencer should get some attention to this offseason after having a solid year in 2012 and it came before he was injured. While he is coming back from that, Spencer should get some looks from teams and the Broncos could be a fit.
