Tim Tebow remains a free agent and is employed by ESPN and as he tries to make a return to the NFL as a quarterback, teams like the Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Vikings and Saints could be options and this comes as reports say a phone call with the quarterback involving his former coach Urban Meyer may have caused an Ohio State recruiting violation.

Tebow has been out of the NFL since before last season when he was released by the New England Patriots after the preseason and while his career in the league is likely over, a blogger at ESPN.com wrote that if he did return, some areas where a backup quarterback is needed could fit Tebow, including the Bears and the Browns. Michael C. Wright on ESPN laid out some ideas for the Chicago Bears and while he didn't name drop Tebow, he has a connection to head coach Marc Trestman and could be a solid option to keep behind Jay Cutler.

Tebow deserves a chance to be a backup in this league after what he has done on the field and while he is not the prototypical guy when it comes to quarterbacks, he has accomplished much more than many professional QBs and all he needs now is a chance.

In other Tebow news, the star could be returning to Denver in a new football league, while the QB also may have gotten his former head coach into some hot water after a phone call. First the phone call.

According to Cleveland.com and the Plain Dealer, Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer was hit with a secondary recruiting violation and that was discovered after an open records request. The report says that Meyer was talking to a recruit while eating lunch with Tebow and he handed the phone to the former Florida Gators star and it came as Meyer was on vacation. Clifton Garrett, the recruit in question, called Meyer and he handed the phone to Tebow and came after Garrett asked him to speak to Tebow to wish him "luck for the upcoming" season.

This was before he was cut by the Jets in March and the eight second conversation ended up being a secondary violation, although Meyer said there were no issues, as "no recruiting conversation occurred". The rule is the rule though and it was reported on and it's another funny anecdote in the life of Tebow.

According to the Denver Post, Tebow has received another offer and this time it's from the A-11 Football League, which has a franchise possibly coming to Denver. The owner of the league has offered Tebow a deal and the league is planning on showcasing some games this year. Hey, you never know Tebow.
