NY Yankees vs. Florida State Live Stream: Watch Online New York Plays Jameis Winston FSU Seminoles In Spring Game

Feb 25, 2014 02:26 PM EST

The NY Yankees and Florida State Seminoles are playing in a spring game on Tuesday and while the matchup is not being live streamed or aired on radio, Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston is there and could play against the team after taking some batting practice beforehand and while Derek Jeter is not playing, the Yanks are gearing up for a season with him in the lineup and it starts off with FSU.

The game got some hype because of Winston and he calls the Yankees his favorite team and he previously pitched in three games this season and has allowed one hit over four scoreless innings as a sophomore. He will be back as quarterback of the Seminoles after setting numerous records and leading the team to a national championship and he could win another Heisman as well.

The Yankees are taking it easy with this game, as Derek Jeter is not in the lineup and neither are a number of top players like Carlos Beltran and Brian McCann. Jeter announced his retirement this season and the team has added some big name players, including Beltran, Jacoby Ellsbury, Brian McCann and Masahiro Tanaka and this comes after Robinson Cano left to sign with the Mariners.

The lineup on Tuesday had newly signed Brett Gardner in leadoff, while Francisco Cervelli and Kelly Johnson are players that should get some regular time this season. Brendan Ryan is taking place for Jeter and that could happen a nice amount this season, while Vidal Nuno is pitching and he could be in the mix this year as well. The team is hoping for a big season from Gardner and they hope the new signings can get them back to the World Series.
