Liverpool and Arsenal are playing on the English Premier League schedule live on Saturday and the early match is the best of the weekend and comes as the Gunners are first on the EPL table standings and the match will be streaming online from the NBC Sports Network Live Extra at 7:45 am ET from the Anfield.

Liverpool comes into the day eight points back of Arsenal and they remain in fourth place ahead of Everton and behind Manchester City and Chelsea in the standings. Manchester City had a moment in first place before falling back and now the Blues and Man City are tied in points and are separated by goals and the rest of the season should be an interesting battle between the top teams at the front of the standings. Man City had the best winning and unbeaten streaks in the league before the Blues stopped that last week and now Arsenal comes into the match after winning against Crystal Palace and pulling a draw with Southampton, which is what pushed them from the top spit for the time being before they got back into it.

Arsenal has a number of tough matches coming up and this will be a nice test for both teams in the Premier League from the Anfield before the two sides meet at Emirates Stadium and that will be for the FA Cup Round 5 match and should be a very entertaining matchup. Mixed around that match are a number of other important games for the Gunners, as they host Manchester United and Sunderland in the EPL and they also have their first leg at home against defending champions Bayern Munich and that will be for the UEFA Champions League final 16 before their return leg a few weeks later.

Arsenal later has huge matches with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and against Tottenham at White Hart Lane and as the schedule pushes to spring, the league table will get very active. Liverpool comes into the match after a draw with West Brom that was a disappointing result and that came after a nice 4-0 win over Everton and before their FA Cup victory and now they have two matches after this away from the Anfield, including Fulham next in the EPL at Craven Cottage before playing against Arsenal at the Emirates. Liverpool has been one of the best scoring teams in the Premier League this season and both Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge are in the top three, with Suarez leading the league by a long shot with 23 goals and he has been excellent this year.

Arsenal sits atop the league table and they have been there for most of the season and they are looking like the favorites to take the crown and they have been getting some good challenges from Manchester City and Chelsea as well. Liverpool and Everton have been firmly in the fourth and fifth positions ahead of Tottenham for most of the year. Manchester United has a ways to go to get out of their position in seventh, but they have been playing better of late and they are ahead of Newcastle as well as Southampton on the league table.
