The NFL free agent period doesn't start until March and one name that will be on the minds of teams like the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Minnesota Vikings is quarterback Michael Vick and when he hits free agency from the Eagles he should get some attention on the market.

Nick Foles took hold of the starting job last season and that means Vick is likely on his way out of town after signing a one year deal to stay in Philly and now he could be poised to go. According to ESPN.com, Adam Schefter writes that the New York Jets and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could be in the mix for Vick, especially after the Bucs brought in Lovie Smith, who has praised Vick in the past. The Jets have his former offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg and that could be an option, especially after Geno Smith performed up and down for the entirety of the season and could use some more time to develop.

Vick is in perfect position to come in and be a veteran quarterback for a year or two while Smith or Mike Glennon develops more and he also could be the man in Minnesota as Mike Zimmer comes in to take over. Vick showed that he can be a leader and while he is 34 years old, he still has some left in the tank and a team like the Jets could benefit from bringing him in for a year. Smith threw for 21 interceptions last season and 12 touchdowns and while they picked him in the second round, the way the new system is means they wouldn't take a big hit by bringing in Vick over him.

Glennon was better overall with 2,608 yards, 19 touchdowns and nine interceptions while playing in 13 games, but the Buccaneers could start over with Smith coming in and Glennon could lose his starting job after taking over for Josh Freeman. The Vikings were terrible at QB last season with Christian Ponder and that makes Vick and interesting option as well. The QB class in free agency is weak with Vick leading over Freeman and some other names and that makes him an option after passing for 1,215 yards and five touchdowns last season.
