Manchester City Wins 5-0 Against Blackburn In FA Cup

Manchester City is ready to get back into the English Premier League schedule after a dominating win 5-0 against Blackburn in the FA Cup to advance into Round 4 of the English tournament.

Manchester City is taking on the Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday in the FA Cup Round 3 tie after the two teams played to a draw in early January and the winner will move on to the fourth round against Watford and the match starts up at 3:10 pm ET and 8:10 pm local time and is from Etihad Stadium ahead of the Premier League weekend schedule for Man City.

The match comes after Manchester United was eliminated from play in an upset in the third round and now Man City will look to get past Blackburn to join teams like Fulham, Hull City, Southampton, Arsenal, Stoke City, Cardiff City and Chelsea into the next round in the FA Cup Draw. The schedule picks up for the fourth round later in the month on January 25 and 26 and Manchester City comes in after having won over Newcastle in their last match in the Premier League and before that the club won over West Ham in the Capital One Cup and that was a thrashing, as the team won 6-0 on that day.

Man City has been playing well this season and has been up and down on the top of the league table and they have been a stalwart in the top three and now they come in after drawing 1-1 against Blackburn last time around. The team had won 3-2 against Swansea City before that and on the schedule they also won over Crystal Palace as well as Liverpool and Fulham after their last loss in the EPL, which was to Arsenal.

The Gunners are in first place on the English Premier League table heading into next weekend's matchups and the team is ahead of Man City in the standings by a slight lead, while Chelsea is in third place ahead of Liverpool and Everton. Tottenham and Manchester United are next on the league table ahead of Newcastle and now Manchester city will try and get some momentum with a win on Wednesday. The club has the Champions League coming up with Barcelona and the club also has tough matches with Chelsea. Stoke City, Cardiff, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal coming up and they are a team to watch as the EPL schedule pushes into the spring.
