The Miami Heat have continued their run as one of the best teams in the NBA this season with a 27-10 start and while that is not as good as the start they had last season, LeBron James and company are thinking championship and at the trading deadline this year there could be moves to make, as names like Pierre Jackson, Evan Turner, Brandon Rush or Rodney Stuckey could be options for the team.
The Heat obviously don't need much with James at the helm, but every championship teams needs role players and while Miami has a solid bench, they could use some more depth and Stuckey, Turner and Rush could fit that mold as a second or third scorer off the bench. According to ESPN.com, earlier in the season the Heat were looking into the market for a small deal that would help shore up the backcourt, as Dwyane Wade needs to rest more than in the past with his knee issues that cropped up last season and that's when names like Turner and Rush started to pop up.
Wade said to the Miami Herald last week that his knees were feeling much better and he has also started playing back to back games again, but that doesn't mean that Miami won't try to make a move as some insurance heading into the playoffs. Stuckey comes in scoring 13 points per game and the Pistons have a glut of players at his position and he could be an option after the next set of games as the deadline gets closer and while Miami may sit tight, they could jump out and deal with Detroit.
Pierre Jackson is an interesting option as well, with the Pelicans likely trading him at some point after he has been averaging 30.1 points and 4.8 assists in 17 games this season.
