The NFC championship playoffs game is all set and the schedule has the Seattle Seahawks playing against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL postseason and the game next weekend will be at CenturyLink Field and this will be the third time that the West division rivals play this season and comes after they split each game with the home teams winning both and they are the last teams standings in the conference after the Saints and the Panthers lost and the matchup starts at 6:30 pm on FOX.

The Seahawks come into the game as the number one seed in the NFC and this is the game many predicted at the beginning of the season for the championship in the conference. The Seahawks dominated the Saints in the running game on Saturday and Marshawn Lynch ended up with 140 yards on the ground, while Drew Brees passed for 309 yards in the loss. The Carolina Panthers fell to the 49ers on Sunday afternoon in a 23-10 game and the team got a huge game from Anquan Boldin and the physical matchup ended the season for Cam Newton and company.

The Seahawks defeated the Saints on Saturday night at home and the team now has lost just one game under Russell Wilson at CenturyLink Field and that was against the Cardinals this season and this will be the third time that the teams are playing this season and they split the two matchups in the regular season with both teams winning once. The 49ers won their game at home later in the season at the last second after a field goal, while the Seahawks dominated their game early in the season and allowed just a field goal for the Niners.

The Seahawks are being looked at as the Super Bowl favorite since they have home field advantage in the playoffs and they could face off against the Broncos or the Patriots in the championship and Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick each have the chance to get to the Super Bowl, with Kaep going for the second year in a row. The 49ers got over 300 total yards from Kaepernick in their win against Green Bay in the wild card round and players like Michael Crabtree and Anquan Boldin have been extremely valuable for the Niners.

Both teams have top ranked defenses and the two coaches in Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh are not the best of friends and that makes for a number of interesting narratives heading into the game. The matchup of the two teams comes from CenturyLink Field and has the Seahawks coming in as the top overall seed and the 49ers in fifth position and they are matching up for the third time this year and the game starts on TV on FOX at 6:30 pm.
