Kansas City has lost their last seven playoff games. The Chiefs are desperate to change their luck and after losing their last two regular season games, it could be tough as they face Indianapolis on the road. The Colts are hot with the right momentum at the right time, but can they capitalize?

The Chiefs lost their first matchup against the Colts. Quarterback Alex Smith went 16 for 28 in that game for 153 yards and one interception. The team ended up missing out on the AFC West title and a first-round bye as they now must face Indianapolis on the road. Kansas City is 6-1 on the road this season as Smith has tossed 11 touchdowns in that time.

Injuries have plagued the team. After a 9-0 start to the year, the team lost five of their last seven, allowing 27.7 points per game in those losses. It is expected wide receiver Dwayne Bowe will be active after suffering a concussion. Justin Houston and Brandon Albert are also expected to be on the field.

Indianapolis ended their regular season with a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars where Andrew Luck went 26 of 37 for 282 yards and a touchdown. He finished the year with 23 touchdowns and just nine interceptions in his sophomore season. The Colts will look for big performances from their two running backs, Trent Richardson and Donald Brown, as the play from wide receivers has been inconsistent.

The Colts enter the postseason on a three-game win streak, allowing just 20 points over all. They could follow past Super Bowl winners who all got hot at the right time. Indianapolis is certainly hot right now, while the Chiefs have cooled down. After a lengthy win streak, the team has dropped their last two matchups while injuries run wild.

It is Wild Card weekend in the NFL as eight teams fight to move on to the next round. The first AFC matchup features two teams headed in opposite directions. The Indianapolis Colts have played their best football over the past three weeks as the Kansas City Chiefs have dropped two and need momentum.
