Kentucky came into the season top ranked and they have fallen a bit since losing three games, but they are 9-3 on the season and are ranked 18th in the nation and they have been one of the highest scoring teams in the nation with 81 points per game and they have also been shooting very well, getting close to 50 percent from the field and now the defending national champions will have their hands full with a great team from John Calipari. The team comes in ranked 11th in the nation in scoring with 86 points per game and the team is ranked 21st in the nation in rebounds per game. Smith comes into the game after scoring 18 points and they have won six straight games and now will play a number of games on the road, including against Rutgers and then at home against number 17 Memphis.

Smith is leading the team in scoring for the Cardinals and now the Wildcats get the chance to win their first game against a Top 25 team this season. Julius Randle has played very well for the Wildcats and they have been unable to break through yet against a top 25 team, including in losses against Baylor, North Carolina as well as Michigan and now the team has the chance to turn things around at home in front of a crazy crowd.

Louisville is expected to be one of the top teams in the nation this season after winning the championship last season and Kentucky comes in as one of the most talented and they are expecting to be a factor at the end of the season as well in the NCAA tournament. Louisville and Kentucky are made to hate each other and so are their coaches in John Calipari and Rick Pitino and now the two teams will go at on CBS from Rupp Arena at 4 pm in an early matchup of top teams.
