Kings vs. Devils: Los Angeles Spanks New Jersey, Leads Series 3-0

The Los Angeles Kings are now only 1 win away from hoisting the Stanley Cup."

The Devils are flat.  The Kings are hot.  The 3-0 advantage that Los Angeles holds in the Stanley Cup finals is the result of three meetings in which New Jersey was blatantly outplayed.  Monday night's matchup was easily the most one-sided of each of the Devils title chase losses.

Yet again, the Devils failed to generate anything that remotely resembled an intimidating offense.  Even during several power play opportunities, New Jersey was a step slower than their opponents. Jonathan Quick earned a shutout victory as the Kings scored four.

Both on offense and defense, the Kings are playing at an entirely different speed.  Martin Brodeur has been no match for the Los Angeles attack and one has to wonder if the future Hall of Famer will ride into the sunset after being swept in the Stanley Cup Finals.

Check in Tuesday afternoon for a full reaction to the Stanley Cup Finals thus far.
