The Major League Baseball offseason is really starting to heat up after Robinson Cano signed with the Seattle Mariners and with the New York Yankees shelling out money to Jacoby Ellsbury and Brian McCann, a number of other players appear to be ready to cash in, including names like Ervin Santana, Carlos Beltran, Matt Garza, Ubaldo Jimenez and many more.
McCann got himself an nice five year contract from the Yankees, while Ellsbury was signed for seven years and $153 million and now the Yanks will be without Cano, who signed a massive deal at $240 million over 10-years and that could lead to some big moves at the winter meetings. The Yankees were expected to be big spenders, but not this big and the Mariners stunned everyone with their deal and now there is a chance they could work on even more after the Cano signing, as they are in on the David Price trade rumors as well as free agents in Carlos Beltran, Nelson Cruz as well as Mike Napoli and Shin Soo Choo.
This has already been a crazy MLB offseason and the winter meetings could make it even crazier.
