The fantasy football season is nearing to a close and teams in the playoffs are looking to make the best decisions to win matchups and as owners mine the waiver wire for gold, some of the best fantasy WR options in Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football includes names like Andre Holmes, Brian Hartline, Cecil Shorts, Michael Floyd, Greg Jennings and Doug Baldwin as well as Julian Edelman.

Holmes came in for the Raiders and had a huge game out of nowhere after coming off the bottom of the roster and he now could be the top wide receiver going forward the rest of the season over names like Denarius Moore and Rod Streater. Cecil Shorts caught the game winning touchdown for the Jaguars on Sunday and he has shown that he has the potential to be a number one fantasy receiver and he could be in line for a nice game against the Texans on Thursday night football.

Doug Baldwin had a very solid night on Monday and he is a smart pickup, as is Julian Edelman and Brian Hartline, who had one of his best games of the season as Miami tries to make a playoffs push. Michael Floyd is a bit banged up, but he has been a consistent target for the Cardinals and Jennings is another player to watch, as he had a nice game for the Vikings and if Matt Cassel gets to keep playing, he could be his most consistent target.

Holmes is a player to snag quickly, as he is likely free in most leagues and in Yahoo but not for long after he made seven catches for 136 yards against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving. He came into the game with just three catches on eight targets for 65 yards before his big day and on Thursday he looked good with Matt McGloin, as they linked up for 11 targets and he had a nice 35 yard long reception and he could be a big play factor going forward. This season he has just 10 catches, but seven of them came in one game and Dennis Allen likely will look his way more in the offense.

Hartline has been a steady player all season and he has 62 catches for 804 yards and he snagged his first touchdown on Sunday in eight games and he had his best game over the past five, as he ended up with nine catches for 127 yards and a score, besting his totals from every other game in that span. Hartline has had at least 57 yards and five catches in every game the past four weeks and he broke out on Sunday, making nine on 15 targets and that came two weeks after he had 13 targets against the Chargers and he has proven himself to be the number one guy in Miami over Mike Wallace, notching 32 targets in the past three games.

Shorts has been solid all season and while he is a little banged up, Shorts has gone through that a number of times and now he comes into the game against one of the worst teams in the league having won three of four with the Jags and he also has 22 targets in the past two games. On Sunday Shorts had six catches for 64 yards and the game winner and he looks like a smart pick going forward even if the Jags are bad.

Floyd may end up missing some practice and that could factor into this week, but as long as he gets in before the game on Sunday, he should be good for the game. Watch the injury report on him, but he has three scores in his past five games and 28 targets in that span and he also has gone over 100 yards in two of the past three games and he had 99 yards last weekend. Jennings had a nice game on Sunday with seven catches for 78 yards and a score and the veteran could be reliable down the stretch.
