Former New England Patriots NFL football player Aaron Hernandez has his handcuffs removed before a pre-trail hearing in Bristol Superior Court in Fall River, Massachusetts, October 21, 2013. Hernandez has been arraigned on murder and weapons charges in connection with the killing of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd in June. "

The Aaron Hernandez murder case is still in the court system and without a trial date yet set, both sides are continuing to work on the case and the latest news has some delays and missed deadlines, as Hernandez's next pretrial court hearing was delayed and prosecutors also missed a deadline regarding evidence related to Hernandez's girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins.

According to the Herald News, a hearing was scheduled for Hernandez on December 13, but the report says that the victim's family cannot make that date, resulting in the judge rescheduling it for a later time on the calendar. The report says that Judge E. Susan Garsh accepted the request from the prosecution to delay for Odin Lloyd's family, but also stated that the hearing will be held if the two sides cannot come to an agreement on another date. The family has been attending nearly every court date regarding Hernandez and this time they cannot make the date and we will update this if the two sides come to an agreement.

As that was going on, another issue has come up regarding Hernandez's girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins, as NECN.com is reporting that prosecutors missed a deadline regarding evidence in the case of Jenkins and her perjury charge. The report says that the Bristol County District Attorney's Office may have missed a deadline regarding evidence and while they said that it was a "misunderstanding", the paperwork came in on time.

The paperwork was regarding Jenkins and her perjury charge and her lawyer has said that they have no idea what they feel her client is lying about. The report says that the prosecution paperwork is supposed to document and explain how Jenkins lied and the defense has said that the accusations are baseless. Jenkins is accused of making false statements regarding the murder of Lloyd and her fiancé Aaron Hernandez, while the defense says that Jenkins did not lie.

Hernandez is charged with first degree murder in the case and no trial has yet been set and there are also other issues to take care of, including a deadline for a gag order as well as the testimony of former Florida teammate Mike Pouncey, who was severed after the Dolphins played the Patriots in October.
