The Monday Night Football matchup in Week 13 between the Seattle Seahawks and the New Orleans Saints is the best game on the schedule and things will kick off starting at 8:30 pm on ESPN and the game will be streaming on the WatchESPN website for the nationally televised game.

There is plenty on the line for both teams in Monday night, as this game could be what decides who has home field advantage in the NFC playoffs and that could determine whether or not one of these teams wins a Super Bowl in 2013. The Seahawks are a much better home team than when they are on the road and they currently have a 13 game winning streak at CenturyLink Field and that could give the team a huge boost in the playoffs. The Saints play fast at home in the Superdome and they have never won a playoff game on the road, making this matchup even more important for Drew Brees and company as they try to hold off the Carolina Panthers in the NFC south division. Marshawn Lynch has beast mode memories of the Saints from the playoffs after the 2010 season and he will be hoping for a repeat on Monday night.

Lynch has been a workhorse for the Seahawks since coming over from the Buffalo Bills and he is about to make some team history in 2013, as he will get the first back since former MVP Shaun Alexander to rush for 1,000 yards and scored 10 touchdowns in three straight seasons. Lynch is very close to both and he is already over 1,000 total yards for the season and he has been one of the main reasons for the Seahawks success this year. The team has lost players like Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin to injury at various points this season, but one of the main constants has been Lynch and the ground attack, which ranks in the top part of the league with nearly 150 yards per game and they have a solid matchup with Rob Ryan's run defense.

The Seahawks defense has been consistent all season and they have one of the highest ranked secondary units in the NFL, but they haven't seen a team like the New Orleans Saints this season and Drew Brees is sure to air it out Monday, as the Hawks are down two cornerbacks. Richard Sherman will be the primary cover man for the Seahawks with both Brandon Browner and Walter Thurmond out and that could mean some big mismatches for Brees and Jimmy Graham and with his size and athletic ability as a tight end, he could be impossible to cover for Seattle.

Both teams have tough schedules to finish the season and each have a number of division games still to deal with. The Seahawks play against the San Francisco 49ers on the road next and then the team must travel to play the New York Giants on the east coast after that before returning home to play division goes in the Arizona Cardinals and the St. Louis Rams. The Saints still have plenty to worry about, as the team plays twice against the Carolina Panthers and they are the hottest team in the NFL and have an outside shot at winning the NFC south if they can win both games. The matchup on Monday night football has the Seattle Seahawks hosting the New Orleans Saints on ESPN starting up at 8:30 pm ET from CenturyLink Field.
