The New Orleans Saints and the Seattle Seahawks have been the best teams in the NFC this season and now the two will matchup on Monday night football in Week 13 and the game on ESPN will be from CenturyLink Field starting on TV at 8:30 pm and the game will be on the radio and streaming from the WatchESPN website from Washington.

The game has two of the best short quarterbacks in football with Drew Brees and Russell Wilson and while Brees has been more accomplished than Wilson in his career, the game could go either way for these two clubs as they try and get playoff position in the conference. The Seahawks and the Saints play better as the home team and the winner of this game may get home field advantage in the playoffs and that could turn out to be crucial as each side works to make a Super Bowl run. The Seahawks will be without Percy Harvin on Monday after his hip injury flared up again and he made his return before the bye last week against Minnesota and now the team hopes he will be back fine for the playoffs. Drew Brees and his main target Jimmy Graham will be on the lookout for Richard Sherman, as he is one of the best cover corners in the NFL.

The Seahawks have not lost a game at home in 13 tries and they average more points at home than on the road and that makes the game even tougher for the Saints on Monday. Wilson is undefeated at home as a starter and the Saints have a similar record at home over the past three seasons according to ESPN.com, as they are 14-0 when Sean Payton is coaching, meaning both teams really want that home field advantage in the playoffs this season. Wilson has been solid this year and does not make a ton of mistakes and Drew Brees comes in hoping to get a home playoff game, as he is much better at home, going for 19 touchdowns and just three picks compared to nine and five on the road.

Richard Sherman is a big dude and there is a good chance that the Seahawks use him as a man cover for Jimmy Graham at times in the game. The Seahawks may not be able to afford taking Sherman off his regular coverage, as both Walter Thurmond and Brandon Browner are out for the game on Monday night and that makes the secondary a bit thin. The team comes in averaging nearly 150 rushing yards per game and when he plays the Saints on Monday, Marshawn Lynch surely will be thinking about that playoff game years ago when he went beast mode.

This season the Seahawks have won every game apart from the Colts in Week 5 and that was on the road and now they come into the game on a six game winning streak. There are five games left this season and three are divisional games, with the next being on the road against the San Francisco 49ers before visiting the New York Giants the week after. The team then closes with home games against the Cardinals and Rams. The Saints have two games against the Carolina Panthers coming up and those could be crucial for the NFL conference and the South division race. The game on Monday night starts on ESPN at 8:30 and has the Seattle Seahawks hosting the New Orleans Saints at CenturyLink Field.
