The college football season had a huge shakeup this weekend when Auburn won the most improbable Iron Bowl game ever against Alabama in stunning fashion and now all NCAA football bowl predictions and the college BCS standings and projections are up in the air, as the number one teams lost and the number four team was the one to do it and now Ohio State and Florida State could be in line for a national championship.

Alabama came into the Iron Bowl game against Auburn undefeated and ranked first in the nation in the BCS standings and a win on Saturday would have clinched the SEC west division and a spot in the conference title game. The team now is knocked off and could be out of the top matchup all together with the loss to the Tigers, which came after a missed field goal with the game tied at the end of regulation and saw Chris Davis return the kick for a touchdown, ending the game in stunning fashion. Alabama was the top rated defense coming into the game but they couldn't stop the run all day and while AJ McCarron brought the team back with a 99-yard touchdown to Amari Cooper, the team couldn't hold back Auburn and after three missed field goals from the starting kicker, the backup attempted the final kick and it was returned for a touchdown, ending the game in dramatic fashion.

Nick Saban and his team likely will not get another chance to win their third national championship barring some huge upset of either Auburn, Ohio State or Florida State in their conference title games and while that is very unlikely, stranger things have happened. The season for Alabama now is essentially over and after being number one all season, they will not play for the SEC title. The Tigers final play against Georgia a couple weeks ago now looks like an amazing miracle even more than it was, as the team now has an outside shot at the national championship as well.

Ohio State is now in position to get to the national championship and they did not have an easy road either, as they won against Michigan at the Big House with a last second stop by one. The team allowed the Wolverines to score a potential game tying touchdown at the end of the game, but Brady Hoke decided to go for the win on the two point conversion and the Buckeyes held, allowing OSU to stay undefeated. Now the team heads into the Big Ten title game against Michigan State with the potential to play in the national championship and they likely will go up against Florida State, as they won over Florida and still has the ACC championship to go. Now the Florida DA has huge questions, as their decision on Jameis Winston could have an outcome on the Heisman and national championship race.

As it sits right now, Ohio State and Florida State are projected for the championship and that means the Buckeyes and the Seminoles playing for the BCS national title.
