Nov 29, 2013 11:36 AM EST

The Nebraska Cornhuskers have had an up and down season in 2013 and while the team won't be playing in the Big Ten title game out of the Legends division, Bo Pelini has the school in position to get into a nice bowl game and they will finish their regular season on Friday at Memorial Stadium with a game against the Iowa Hawkeyes starting up at 12:00 pm noon on TV on ABC and streaming live online.

Nebraska comes into the game after a close win on the road against the Penn State Nittany Lions 23-20 and after giving up over 200 yards passing to Christian Hackenberg, the team will be looking to shutdown Iowa on Friday afternoon. The Big Ten has been a bit down this season, but a win by Nebraska to finish things off after going 8-3 this season and 5-2 in the conference would be a nice way to cap things for the year in the regulars season. The team is 0-2 this year in games against ranked opponents and they are looking to send off their seniors with a solid performance and Tommy Armstrong comes into the game leading the Huskers in passing, while running back Ameer Abdullah has been very solid with nearly 1,500 yards rushing and he has seven touchdowns on the season.

Check here for the Nebraska and Iowa live coverage.

Armstrong has over 800 yards passing this season with seven touchdowns as a freshman and Abdullah will be a main option for the team on Friday, as he has 1,483 yards this season and a win over Iowa will secure second place in the legends division, as the Hawkeyes are behind the Huskers in the standings, while Michigan State is in first place and they have clinched a spot in the Big Ten conference with a 7-0 record and they are 10-1 overall on the season. Ohio State is in from the Leaders division over Wisconsin and they will play the Spartans in the conference title game and that will be a huge matchup for the Buckeyes as they try to remain undefeated for the second straight year.

Nebraska is ranked in the top 20 in the nation in rushing with over 230 yards per game this season and they are averaging over 30 points per game and the defense has been playing well down the stretch apart from the loss to Michigan State a couple weeks ago. The Spartans tagged the team for 41 points and the Huskers come in having won three of four games, defeating Northwestern and Michigan before losing to MSU and after that they won over Penn State on the road in overtime and now it's time for the regular season finale.

Iowa comes in after a win against Michigan by three points last Saturday at home and now the team hits the road to play Nebraska and that is the final game for the team in the regular season as well. The team has won three of four games and last lost a few weeks ago at home to Wisconsin and the team is winless in two games against ranked opponents this year. The team played Ohio State very tough in October and now Iowa will be playing the Huskers and it marks the end of a disappointing season, as the team started off 4-1 on the year and now have limped to a 7-4 finish into the last game.
