The NBA 2013-2014 season is about to become a month old and the standings are a bit ridiculous. Considering the dominance of the East and their competitive standings, this season appears to be difference. The veteran San Antonio Spurs are still one of the game's best, but younger teams like the Indiana Pacers and Portland Trail Blazers are impressing the most. Check out the NBA Standings right before the Thanksgiving stretch.

Spurs & Pacers
What do these teams have in common aside from a 13-1 record to begin the 2013 season? They were the last two teams the Heat had to get by in order to repeat as champions. Now, with an 11-3 record, the Heat are not the talk of town. The Pacers are rolling, posting a 4-1 record against the division, 10-1 against the conference and sitting on a perfect 8-0 record at the Fieldhouse.

The Pacers, Heat and Atlanta Hawks are the only three teams in the East with winning records. Yes, everybody is appalled. The Atlantic Division has to be the worst in the game as the Toronto Raptors are holding on to first place with a 6-7 record. They have a three-game lead over the last-place Brooklyn Nets, who are tied for the rest record in the division along with the New York Knicks.

Portland Punishing
The Trail Blazers are on fire, off to a 13-2 start, joining the Spurs and Pacers as the only teams with 13 victories in 2013. They are on an 11-game winning streak, tying them with the Spurs for the longest so far this season.

They are young and hungry. Expect them to remain in the race as the rest of the conference continues to develop and teams find themselves as the season progresses.
