Mexico's coach Miguel Herrera (R) celebrates a goal with his players during their 2014 World Cup qualifying playoff first leg soccer match against New Zealand at Azteca stadium in Mexico City November 13, 2013. "

The World Cup is just 90 minutes away for Mexico and all they have to do is take care of business on Wednesday night against New Zealand to get through and the match will get started up at 1:00 AM ET and at 7 PM local time from Westpac Stadium in Wellington and the match will be on ESPN live and streaming on WatchESPN and on ESPN Radio.

Mexico came into the first leg against New Zealand with a nice lease on life after the United States team bailed the team out and scored against Panama to put Mexico into the playoffs and now they have the chance to fully take care of business after winning 5-1 at Estadio Azteca as they hit the road on Wednesday and they will be all the way on the other side of the world for the matchup and this comes after the domination in the first leg. That match only happened after two extra time goals from the rival US team that knocked out Panama and now El Tri has the chance to finish the job on Wednesday morning or night depending on where you are watching. New coach Miguel Herrera has been pushing all the right buttons and after Oribe Peralta scored two in the second half and Rafael Marquez added another one, the Kiwis got their one goal and that is their biggest hope in the second leg.

Mexico is heading into the game with high expectations and they are not going to take New Zealand lightly after winning 5-1, even though the math says it will be nearly impossible for the Kiwis to make a comeback, even with the match in Wellington. The team needs to make up four goals and the winner after this match will be heading to Brazil for the World Cup and after Mexico played very fast and aggressive in the first leg, they can afford to play more defensive minded in this match, but that doesn't mean they won't take chances.

Paul Aguilar and Raul Jimenez scored in the first half for the team in the opening leg and Mexico dominated the day, as they did not need to make any saves and let in only one goal on the day, while they totally dominated on shots with 21 to 3 and they also dominated on time of possession and corner kicks and those outcomes will determine Wednesday's match as well and with three yellow cards coming for the Kiwis, things could be even more difficult. The team didn't even need Javier Hernandez and Giovani Dos Santos to win the match and now they have a big lead coming into the second leg.

New Zealand goalkeeper Glen Moss was hounded for the entire match and there wasn't much the team could do and now after the Mexico team was on the brink of not even going to Brazil, the team can nearly taste the World Cup spot. Having Chris Wood and Ivan Vicelich out will make it even harder for NZ and the Mexican team will be looking to ensure that the Kiwis do not get any easy scoring chances in the matchup. Mexico finished back behind a number of teams in group qualifying and were able to sneak into the playoff against New Zealand with the help of the US and now it is all in their hands as they play on Wednesday in the second leg.
