The MLB offseason is a slow burn and as some players start to sign with teams, others are positioning themselves to be in the best6 positions to do so and heading into the first couple weeks, free agent pitchers Bronson Arroyo and Josh Johnson along with shortstop Jhonny Peralta are getting some interest from teams like the Dodgers, Angels, Padres and Giants.

Hardball Talk is reporting that Arroyo is getting some nice early attention from teams in free agency, as the Los Angeles Dodgers, Angels, Philadelphia Phillies, Minnesota Twins and Baltimore Orioles are all interested in his services. Arroyo would be the first big pitcher to sign after Tim Hudson inked a two year deal with the San Francisco Giants and it looks like he will not be back with the Reds this season. The news came from Arroyo himself and while he hasn't gotten any offers yet, that could be coming soon.

Arroyo is getting up there in age, but he is a dependable pitcher and he went 14-12 with a 3.79 ERA in 32 starts last season and he also had 199 innings in each of the past nine years according to HBT. Johnson is an interesting free agent option, as he was looked at as a top of the line starter before being traded to the Blue Jays and now according to HBT, Johnson would like to head west to play for the San Francisco Giants or the San Diego Padres. Johnson lives in Vegas and while he is coming off a tough season that saw him get injured, he could be a solid signing for a team willing to take a chance on him.

The Yankees have been linked to everyone and now Fox Sports says they will be looking into free agent Jhonny Peralta despite having signed Brendan Ryan and also having Derek Jeter. The team was also linked to Stephen Drew and speculation is that Peralta can also play third base possibly in case the A-Rod suspension goes down. The Giants Tim Hudson are in on a two year deal and $23 million and now he moves west after starring with the Braves.
