The New England Patriots and the Carolina Panthers are matching up on Monday night football for Week 11 and the game should be an exciting one, as the two teams will play at Bank of America Stadium and things will start up on TV and streaming online from ESPN at 8:30 pm and the game will be on ABC locally and also on the radio.

The Patriots come into the game on a two game winning streak after taking down the Pittsburgh Steelers in a very anticipated game that saw the team put up over 50 points for the first time this season and now on Monday the team has the chance to win a third straight game since falling to the Jets on the road in overtime. The team plays the national night game two weeks in a row now, as they will face off on Sunday night football against the Denver Broncos next week in one of the top games of the season, as Peyton Manning and Tom Brady will be matched up against each other in what could be the last time in the regular season. The Patriots have a tough task on Monday, as the Panthers defense has been playing very well this season and now they will get the chance to play one of the best teams in the league and one of the top quarterbacks.

The Patriots offense took some time to get together, but adding Shane Vereen back will be a huge boost for the team and now gives another versatile running back for Brady to work with. Vereen had over 100 yards rushing in the first game of the season before injuring his wrist and now he is expected to return for the first time since then on Monday night football. Vereen is expected to get used a nice amount on Monday barring any setbacks and it comes after he had over 150 yards in the opening game and that is one element that the offense has been missing this season and his work in the passing game could really open things up for Brady and his young wide receivers.

The Panthers have been one of the most surprising teams in the NFL this season and they come into Monday night football as one of the hottest, as they have won five straight games, including against the final two NFC teams from last season in the San Francisco 49ers and the Atlanta Falcons over the past two weeks, allowing just 19 combined points and the defense has been one reason why the team has been so good this season. In wins on the schedule the team has not allowed over 15 points and they have not given up 30 to anyone all season and they also have a 38-0 shutout of the improving Giants to look back on. The defense has been great at getting to the quarterback and that will be a huge key on Monday night.

The Panthers come in still having two games on the schedule against the New Orleans Saints and that makes this back stretch crucial, as the team is in position for a wild card spot, but they also could end up playing a big role in who wins the NFC South, as they have two against the Saints as well as a matchup with the Atlanta Falcons on the road to end the season. The team also has another tough defensive team in the Jets and they will need to continue playing well to get into the postseason. The Patriots have been playing better since the beginning of the season on offense and they have over 70 combined points in the past two games as their schedule is about to get tough with the Broncos coming to town. The team finishes with the Texans Browns and Miami Dolphins as well as the Ravens and Bills and now the Pats play against the Carolina Panthers in a road game on ESPN for Monday night football in Week 11.
