The New York Knicks are off to a rough start and after getting their second win of the season they will come back home to face the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden and the game will start up at 12 pm noon and will be streaming online at NBA.com and the matchup has one of the best teams in the league against the Knicks.

Carmelo Anthony has been playing well, but the Knicks need to step up overall and they got their second win of the season after three straight losses and they defeated the Bobcats on Friday and now the team has a tough test with the Spurs, who are 5-1 and are always a team that plays tough against the Knicks in NY. The team had a big game from Carmelo against the Bobcats, as Anthony added 28 points, eight rebounds and six assists and the team looked much better on Friday and now they have to make sure they continue playing that way as JR Smith comes back and that could be a tough test for the team to work him back in the lineup. The Knicks are scoring just over 93 points per game and has been one of the better teams defensively, but they haven't had the chance to work out better on offense and now the team plays the previous west winners with the Spurs.

The Knicks have Tyson Chandler out for an extended period of time and they will have to bounce back without him and that puts even more pressure on Anthony. The Knicks finally got a nice game out of Andrea Bargnani, who had 25 points on Sunday and he also added eight rebounds and five blocks and that is a big improvement from how he played over the first few games of the season. The Knicks have not looked good early on in the season through five games, but they have a chance to turn things around on Sunday with a nice home win against the Spurs and if they start looking better, they should be able to last the month and more they will be without Chandler, who is arguably as important to the success of the team this season as Carmelo is.

The Knicks will play the Atlanta Hawks in their next game on the road and now they have the Spurs, who are coming off of a close win against the Philadelphia 76ers and now they have just one loss on the season. The Spurs come in scoring over 95 points per game and they have a solid two point win against the Warriors and that was a nice win for the team, as they held the usually high scoring Warriors to just 74 points and the Spurs are one of the top defensive teams in the league and the Knicks come in struggling on offense and that should make the game on Sunday very interesting. The Knicks are in the top 10 in assists and points on defense and the team has been solid in rebounding and the matchup on Sunday at 12 noon gives Tim Duncan a chance to get back at MSG.

The Spurs come in tops in the Southwest and the Knicks are struggling in their division and the team is 5-1 over the Houston Rockets and the Dallas Mavericks and they are up over the New Orleans Pelicans and the Memphis Grizzlies at 3-3. The Knicks have some tough games coming up and they finally snapped a three game losing streak and now it's the fourth time in five games that Anthony was the leading scorer apart from when Kevin Love had over 30 points. The team played two in a row against the Bobcats and now they will play the Hawks before road games against the Houston Rockets and the Hawks again at home and then there are some more tough games against the East with the Indiana Pacers before a west road trip against the Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Blazers and Denver Nuggets. The game on Sunday will start at 12 noon for the Knicks and the Spurs.
