The college basketball season will get started off for a number of teams on Friday night and one of the most entertaining games will be with Connecticut taking on Maryland and that should be a great matchup and it's even better since the game is going to be at the Barclays Center and the game starts up on ESPN2 at 6:30 PM.

Connecticut comes into the game after a tough season last year and now they will get the chance to rebound against Maryland, who is also trying to build things back up as well after a couple rough years in the ACC. The Huskies are coming in after going 10-8 last season and they will start up against Maryland before playing some tough games later against Stanford, Florida, Boston College and Washington and the matchup. Maryland comes in after winning 25 games last season, but they had a losing record in the ACC and while they pulled off a nice upset of Duke in the ACC tournament, they will have another tough season in one of the most competitive conferences in the nation.

Maryland comes back to the Barclays after playing last season against Kentucky and now they are hoping for a win after losing last season in a close game and the top player for UConn once again will be Shabazz Napier after he averaged over 17 yards per game and he also have nearly five assists per game and they will be taking on a Maryland team with some young talent. The Terrapins have not been back to the powerhouse status in a few years and now they get the chance to play one in UConn, as the team is expecting to be much improved from last season.

Later in the year the team has a tough stretch with road games against number 11 Ohio State as well as Pitt and Florida State, while the team also will play against Notre Dame and then later against North Carolina. The team has tough games all through the ACC schedule and the Huskies also have some tough tests, as they play Louisville later in the year at home and away after they won the national championship last season and the team also has games against Memphis and they are ranked in the top 15.

The game on Friday night will be at the Barclays Center between the UConn Huskies and the Maryland Terrapins and the matchup will get started up at 6:30 pm and streaming online from Watch ESPN and the game will be on ESPN2.
