Miami Dolphins Rumors: Jeff Ireland Said Jonathan Martin Should Punch Richie Incognito, This Is The Same GM Who Asked Dez Bryant If Mother Was a Prostitute

The Miami Dolphins situation involving Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito and bullying is going in a number of new directions and now general manager Jeff Ireland has come into the fold, as reports say that the GM said that he though Martin should have punched Incognito and gotten physical with him to stop the bullying.

According to ESPN.com, Ireland stated that Martin should have gotten physical, which, one, is ridiculous because then Martin likely would have been suspended and also shows the ignorance and the pathetic nature of the Dolphins organization. This is the same Jeff Ireland who asked Dez Bryant if his mother was a prostitute, so forgive me for thinking he is a grade A a-hole. Clearly the response has been expected, the Dolphins rip Martin, the "different" player rather than the racist Incognito and now Ireland has made a fool of himself.

The whole situation involving the bullying is getting worse and worse for the Dolphins and Ireland made the quote while talking to Martin's agent. Okay, so let's get this straight. First, Martin should have taken his issues to the leadership council -which Incognito was on, or the coaching staff, who told Incognito to toughen Martin up, or the higher ups, who apparently think violence is the only way to solve things. So it's Martin's fault for having nowhere to go? The Dolphins organization should be embarrassed for themselves and they are pathetic.

Dolphins players are defending Incognito over Martin and that's terrible, as they of course know everything that goes on in someone's head and it's up to them to decide what is racist, what is harassment and what is behavior Martin should handle. Martin will not be able to go back into that locker room now with the way the team has spoken out and it's an embarrassment to the NFL and the team, which deserves all the criticism it's getting.
