Oct 29, 2013 07:39 PM EDT

The Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls are considered two of the best teams in the eastern conference and they will face off in a very anticipated matchup on Tuesday, as LeBron James and company will host Derrick Rose at American Airlines Arena in South Florida in a game that will be live on TNT at 8:00 pm and streaming online with radio coverage on ESPN 1000 in Chicago and on WMVP.

The game will be live on TNT and will of course be on the NBA League Pass and there is also the NBA Game Time Audio league pass as well as local coverage on SportsNet 360 and on ESPN Radio, WMVP and WAXY and the game will have two of the top players in the league in James and Rose and could be an early preview of the Eastern conference finals depending on how the season shakes out. The Heat come into the game as NBA champs and the Bulls are hoping that they are the team that will knock them off this season, as Miami has won three straight conference titles and now they will have a target on their backs from the rest of the league, especially after winning a second straight championship.

The Chicago Bulls have made a number of improvements to their roster and after being one of the worst three point shooting teams in the league last season, they added Mike Dunleavy to shore that up and getting Rose back should help everyone on offense. The addition of Rose back into the lineup automatically makes the Bulls better and after winning 45 games without him as well as a playoff series that went seven games, there's no doubt they will have a better record and chances are they will battle the Indiana Pacers for the top spot in the division after finishing second to them last season.

The east is not as deep as the western conference, but it is just as top heavy, as the Miami Heat will have the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers and possibly the Detroit Pistons chasing them, while teams like the Wizards, Cavaliers and Hawks likely have some work to do to be a true challenger in the eastern conference. The west has the Memphis Grizzlies, OKC Thunder, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors and the Lakers on top of other talented teams and the race to the top in both conferences should be very interesting.

LeBron James come back as the favorite to win MVP and he will have some tough competition there as well, as Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant should all be in the running this season. Anthony won the scoring title last season and the Knicks come back looking stronger, while the Nets pulled off the biggest trade of the offseason by getting Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett in on a big acquisition and with new coach Jason Kidd in the fold, they could be a heavy hitter in the east. The Bulls and the Heat will pick up quickly after the first game, as Miami heads to Philly to play the Sixers and Chicago heads to NY to play the Knicks at the Garden.

The game on Tuesday is the first nationally televised game of the season on TNT and will feature the Miami Heat hosting the Chicago Bulls starting up at 8 pm.
