Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (R) is sacked by Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen in the second quarter during their NFL football game at Wembley Stadium in London, September 29, 2013. "

The Minnesota Vikings are quickly spiraling out of control and the team is seemingly getting worse and worse and after losing on Sunday night football, reports and rumors about Jared Allen being on the trading block for the trade deadline on Tuesday have come up and some of the interested teams in him could be the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers or New England Patriots.

Allen is one of the top players at his position and with his contract situation coming up at the end of the season, Fox Sports and Pro Football Talk are both reporting that Allen could be moved at the deadline for the Vikings, who are now even farther down in the NFC North. The Lions pulled out a win on Sunday and the Packers won and now Minnesota has lost two straight night games and the team has not looked very good and after starting off with three very tough losses, the team now is spiraling a bit out of control and they may want to try and get some draft picks or other compensation for him instead of just letting him go.

With the way the Vikings are playing, it doesn't seem likely that they will keep Allen even if he is their best defensive player, as they already have plenty of money tied up in Adrian Peterson. Jay Glazer from Fox Sports said that Allen could be on the move for the "right price" and whatever that means from the Vikings could come from the Seahawks, Broncos or Patriots. Denver looks like an interesting option since their pass rush has not been very good this season, ranking in the bottom of the league in sacks and even with Von Miller coming back, that still could mean they try for a deal.

Allen has been one of the most consistent players at his position while making it to the Pro Bowl five different seasons and he also could be a good option for the Dallas Cowboys, as he would be off the books after the season is over and since they are in such a bad financial spot, it could be a nice fit as they try and fortify their roster to try and make a playoff run. CBS is reporting that Justin Tuck could possibly be a player that moves and the Jaguars may also try to shop Jason Babin to teams since they remain winless this season. According to PFT, the Vikings will want at least a third round pick and that might be too costly for some teams, as he has a salary of about $8 million from the rest of the year.

Allen is about to finish off a pretty deserved six year contract that was worth over $70 million and according to SI.com he is the top leader in sacks among active players with over 120 to his name and that is one reason why he might be coveted. Allen has been a very healthy player in his career and he has suited up for every game he has had the chance to play with the Vikings and has not missed a game since back in 2007 and he currently is on a streak of six seasons with double-digit sacks and he is coming off a season with 12 sacks and that came after a career season with 22 sacks. The Vikings may not make a move, but Allen is a prime candidate.
