The Cardinals bats appear to have permanently woken up. They are hitting .252 as a team and though the Red Sox have still scored more total runs than the Cardinals, St. Louis has the lead and they have outhit the Red Sox 26-18. Following Game 1, the Cardinals have taken over the scoreboard and more importantly for them, the final score, taking a 2-1 series lead.

On Saturday evening, in Game 3, the Cardinals picked up 12 hits in 37 at bats against Red Sox pitching; Jake Peavy surrendered six in four innings of work in his start. The Red Sox's bullpen, more specifically, Craig Breslow, could not hold the Cardinals, surrendering two runs, allowing the Cardinals to take a 4-2 lead. His ERA is ballooning and maybe it is a sign for John Farrell to give the man some rest.

The Red Sox picked up six hits and they were very resourceful as they scored four runs. They also added four runs to this total, giving their team chance to battle until the defense blew it again at the end of the game.

Do not miss the action as this MLB World Series game will have to battle against Sunday Night Football. However, do not expect anybody in St. Louis or Boston to tune into football unless things go horribly wrong for their team.
