The Houston Texans are in the midst of a tough season in the AFC South a year after winning the division the team has a much needed bye week to heal up and with the injury to Arian Foster, could the team trade for Maurice Jones-Drew or Darren McFadden?

The team is dealing with an injury to Matt Schaub as well and after Case Keenum started on Sunday against the Chiefs, the team will give him a chance to continue until Schaub is healthy and that means Tim Tebow will not be signing with the team. According to SI.com, the Texans are not in the market for a quarterback after Schaub was injured and the bye week will give him time to heal as well as Foster and it also will give Keenum more time to get used to the offense.

The reports about any deals for a running back are pure speculation, but with Ben Tate also getting injured and Foster having been banged up multiple times, the team could try for a jolt. Things are not going well right now and with the deadline coming up soon, they could make a move. The Texans are going through a rough season and after having rookie quarterback Case Keenum start on Sunday in the loss against the Kansas City Chiefs, the team has made some personnel moves, releasing three rookies in Cierre Wood, Sam Montgomery and Willie Jefferson for violation of team rules.

According to ESPN.com, the team made the moves on Monday after the game against the Kansas City Chiefs and sources said that the issues for violating team rules involved pot/marijuana use by the players at the hotel while the team was in town for the Chiefs game. The three players were not active for the game on Sunday and the move could signal more changes for the team, as they have lost five straight games and are now in a bit of a freefall. The team lost Matt Schaub to an injury and now the team is just 2-5 on the season after falling 17-16 to the now 7-0 Kansas City Chiefs.

The Texans have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the league after starting off 2-0 with two close victories and that may have been a sign of things to come, as the team is now on a five game losing streak heading into their bye week. Schaub could have enough time to recover to take over the starting job again and coach Gary Kubiak said that despite Keenum playing well, that Schaub is the starting quarterback for the team.

The team is ranked 15th in passing yards per game and 10th in rushing yards and while the defense is ranked first in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game, the team is giving up over 120 on the ground per contest this season. The Texans are also dealing with an injury to Arian Foster in the game with a hamstring issue and Ben Tate was also injured, but he was able to stay in the game and now the team has plenty of questions heading into their bye week.

"I don't understand why they did it," Texans outside linebacker Brooks Reed said. "They had the opportunity of their lives and they just kind of threw it away. I don't have too much to say about it. It's really unfortunate. We lost a lot of depth for that game. They were great players and they had a lot of potential. We're just going to find more guys that are more dedicated to the cause."
