The Saints were seconds away from capturing their sixth victory two weeks ago, but Tom Brady and Kenbrell Thompkins would not settle for anything that did not include heroics. The Saints had a chance to close the deal after recovering a Brady interception. It was a lesson learned. Now, the Saints will remember to close the deal and play all 60 minutes of the game.
The Bills should be an easier opponent in Week 8. They hail out of the competitive AFC East, but they do not have a Drew Brees leading their offense, which will make it tough to keep up this Sunday. The Saints will play at home, where they are averaging just below 31 points a game. The Bills are scoring just a little over 21 points per game, which will not be enough.
Brees should have fun with the 21st ranked passing defense in the NFL. The 13-year veteran has thrown for 1,958 yards and 14 touchdowns through the first six games of the season. The passing yards is helping the Saints average the second highest total of aerial yards (311) per game. Their running game is weak, but this has not prevented the Saints from scoring points as their 26.8 averaged per game is sixth in the league.
No heavy analysis is necessary for this prediction. The Saints should should at least four touchdowns in this one, while holding the Bills offense without a problem. Saints will be 6-1 after the conclusion of this game.
