The New York Giants are not having the season they envisioned when they started off the year against the Cowboys and now the winless team will face off against another one that has been disappointed in the Minnesota Vikings and the two will face off on Monday Night Football on ESPN starting up at 8:30 pm from MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The Giants were looked at as a possible playoff team this season and now that has all gone away and now their best chance at even having a mediocre season starts right now on MNF in Week 7. The Vikings come into the game after losing to the Panthers and after making the postseason last year, the team has just one win and is going nowhere fast. The Vikings and the Giants both need the win desperately and it puts together two quarterbacks that are having the worst seasons in the league this year in Eli Manning and Josh Freeman, who was cut from the Bucs and now is with the Vikes, while Eli has been terrible with over 10 picks already.

The Giants have things set up to win this game, as Freeman is learning a new offense and the team is coming off of a bad loss, while NY has had a long week to prepare and now they will put it all on the line on MNF. The Vikings are actually ranked worse than the Giants in passing yards allowed per game and that is a positive for New York and if they can keep the sheet clean for once with turnovers; they should have a very good chance to win. The team will be without its top two running backs in the game and Peyton Hillis is expected to get the bulk of the carries after Brandon Jacobs was hurt and he was signed as a free agent. The game has plenty of consequences for the Giants, as they have one game left before their bye week.

If the G-Men can't win this game there could be some trouble in NY, as 0-7 could end up getting Tom Coughlin fired, although the Giants usually aren't that much of a reactive team. The season started off with a terrible game against the Dallas Cowboys and after losing to a very good Broncos team at home, that is when the embarrassments began for real, as they scored just seven points in two losses to the Chiefs and Panthers and then they lost to the Eagles before getting beat up by the Bears on Thursday.

The team opened the season with six losses and now has two games before their bye, against the Vikings and then the Eagles before their week off. The team will be home for quite some time, as Philly is not far and then the team has a bye and four home games and they basically need to win all of them to have a chance at anything this season. The team will open with the Oakland Raiders before playing against the Green Bay Packers and then another huge game is coming against the Cowboys at home away from Dallas after opening there.

The Redskins in Washington are next and then the team plays against the Chargers in San Diego and the final stretch of the season is tough as well. The team plays against the Seattle Seahawks at home and then they will play against the Detroit Lions on the road before finishing against Robert Griffin and the Washington Redskins. The game on Monday night football will be on ESPN at 8:30 at MetLife stadium between the Giants and the Vikings.
