The New York Giants are having a terrible season and here is just a quick rundown of why everything adds up to Monday night football in Week 7 and while that is obvious since they are 0-6, just hear me out for a second.

The Giants have been in must-win mode since losing their first game of the season and with every game going along, it has gotten worse and worse and after losing to the Bears after looking like a comeback was possible, now any chance the G-Men have in 2013 starts on Monday night. The team is playing against a team ripe for a loss and if the team can't get it now, in Week 7, I am done for the year.

I love my Giants, but this is adding up to a victory for many reasons even if we are a bad team and if we can't win, I just can't expend any more effort and love and emotion on this team. Let's set this up.

Here is why the Giants need to win on Monday and if they don't they are just....I don't even know.

The game on Monday night football is at home at MetLife Stadium

The team is coming off of a long week of rest since losing on THURSDAY

The break was even longer since the game is MONDAY

The Vikings lost embarrassingly to the Panthers (so did the Giants)

Adrian Peterson is ailing a little bit and playing with a heavy heart

Josh Freeman is coming in as a new quarterback for the team

Giants are 0-6 and know they need to win. So they must get it together

All that adds up to one thing: no confusion about why they SHOULD win on Monday. That doesn't mean they will though. Just look at them this season.
