Kansas City Chiefs Win Score 17-16 Against Houston Texans: KC Last Undefeated Team With 7-0 Record Into Week 8

Oct 20, 2013 03:32 PM EDT

The Chiefs are now 7-0 after defeating the Houston Texans 17-16 and are now the only undefeated team left with the Broncos losing to the Colts.

The Houston Texans are looking for a spark on Sunday in Week 7, as they will start Case Keenum over TJ Yates for injured quarterback Matt Schaub and they will travel to Arrowhead Stadium to play the Kansas City Chiefs, who are still undefeated this season at 6-0 and the game will be on CBS at 4:25 PM.

The Texans are having a disappointing start to the season after winning the AFC South division last year and they have had to deal with some up and down play from Schaub, including four straight games with a pick six, although the last one was from Yates. The team has not played as well on defense and has been in two overtime games this season and while they rank first in the league in passing yards allowed per game, they are just 25th ranked in rushing yards per game allowed this season in the league.

Schaub now will be out for Keenum, who put up some amazing numbers while in college and now he will take over ahead of the bye week. The team is coming off four straight losses to the Ravens, Seattle seahawks, San Francisco 49ers and Rams after starting off 2-0 this season and coming out of the bye they have a big division game against the Colts. Indianapolis is tops in the division at 4-2, but they have the Denver Broncos on Sunday night and a loss would drop them to 4-3, while the Texans could take advantage by getting their own win against an undefeated team to improve to 3-4.

The Texans then play on the road against Arizona before three straight home games, including ones against Oakland and Jacksonville, which could be easy wins. The team has a rematch with the Patriots at home and then they will finish the season with three of four on the road, including three division games with Jacksonville and Indy on the road and then the team is home against Denver and then they will play on the road against the Titans. The team plays the Chiefs in Week 7 at Arrowhead Stadium on CBS at 4:25 pm.
