Clemson vs. Florida State TV Schedule: Start Time and Channel For ACC Game Seminoles and Tigers Saturday Night At 8:00 PM

Oct 19, 2013 03:41 PM EDT

The Clemson Tigers and the Florida State Seminoles will be doing battle on Saturday night at Memorial Stadium in one of the biggest games of the college football season and the ESPN College GameDay crew of Lee Corso, Chris Fowler, Desmond Howard and Kirk Herbstreit was there for all of it, as the show was broadcast live starting at 9 am on Saturday from Clemson for the second time this college football season.

Clemson has already had the good fortune of having GameDay come to the school, as the crew was there to help preview the opening matchup of the season against the Georgia Bulldogs that already is considered one of the most entertaining games of the year. Clemson won that game by three in dramatic fashion and now the team has continued to play winning ball, as they are undefeated at 6-0 and looking like one of the best in the nation, ranked third behind Alabama and Oregon and now they put that on the line against number five Florida State.

Clemson has one of the best offenses in the nation and one reason for that is the play of Tajh Boyd, who could vault himself into the Heisman race this season with a good game against Florida State. The team is averaging over 40 points per game on offense and is allowing just 16.2 on defense, ranked ninth in the nation. The offense is gaining over 500 yards per game and Boyd has the team ranked 10th in passing yards per game in the nation with over 340.

Clemson's game against Georgia could have derailed the season right from the start, but after pulling that game out with a 38-35 victory, the team has continued to dominate, scoring over 50 points twice and scoring at least 38 points in every game but two. Boyd has continued to develop as a passer and in his senior year he already has nearly 1,800 passing yards and his accuracy has been excellent, as is completing over 66 percent of his passes and has only two interceptions compared to 15 touchdowns. Boyd threw just one touchdown last week against BC, but he passed for 334 yards and over the past three weeks he has thrown for nine touchdowns and two interceptions.

Clemson finishes the season with away games against Maryland and Virginia and then they play at home against Georgia Tech and the Citadel before taking on South Carolina on the road in the final game of the year. The game on Saturday will be at 8:00 PM at Memorial Stadium between Clemson and Florida State and will be on national TV on ABC.
