The 2013 World Series is just around the corner. The air is getting brisk and the days are getting shorter (in the East Coast), meaning Thanksgiving is on the way. Just kidding. The 2013 World Series will soon begin. Teams are getting closer to clinching their League Championship Series, so here are the dates you should highlight on your calendar as the Fall Classic is almost here.

Okay, pardon us Los Angeles Dodger fans.

We are not giving up on your season yet, but now that the St. Louis Cardinals are up 3-1 in the NLCS, people will wonder when the World Series will begin. Cardinals fans, we are not trying to jynx the team. We understand 2012 is still fresh in your minds as the San Francisco Giants mounted a comeback, winning the last three games of the series.

World Series Dates:
Game 1: Wednesday, Oct. 23
Game 2: Thursday, Oct. 24
Game 3: Saturday, Oct. 26
Game 4: Sunday, Oct. 27
Game 5: Monday, Oct. 28
Game 6: Wednesday, Oct. 30
Game 7: Thursday, Oct. 31

The Cardinals can clinch on Wednesday night. However, the Dodgers will have Zack Greinke on the hill, whose received no run support, just a lot of bad luck in the 2013 postseason. The second-year righty, Joe Kelly, gets the ball for the Cardinals as their hopes of clinching will depend on his arm.

Over in the A.L., the Red Sox still need two games to advance to the World Series. Justin Verlander is another great pitcher not getting run support, this time losing Game 3 after surrendering just a solo home run. The Red Sox won Game 3, 1-0, making the series 2-1. They continue to strikeout, but clutch hitting and the long ball is making the difference for them in this series.

Who will it be? Cardinals vs. Red Sox in a 2004 rematch? Red Sox vs. Dodgers? Cardinals vs. Tigers in a 2006 rematch? Tigers vs. Dodgers?
