The Washington Redskins have been battled for years about their racist team name and while owner Dan Snyder refuses to change it or to believe that it was racist to begin with, many Native Americans have rallied against the team and the Oneida Indian Nation has taken them to task, meeting in the same hotel as NFL owners.

According to ESPN.com, the group planned on meeting for a symposium this past week at the same hotel the NFL was meeting for its fall sessions. The group has taken out radio ads against the team name that aired during NFL games and while many supporters have said that the name is prideful and is not racist, many Native Americans disagree.
Dan Snyder wrote an open letter to fans and said that the name is not racist or offensive and he has claimed that he will never change the name, likely due to the fact that he makes way too much money off of it to do that. The name makes the team one of the most valuable in the world and Snyder is way too greedy to ever change that and anyone who thinks the NFL will make them is out of their minds, because they are just as greedy as well.
Remember, this is a league that willfully continues to cover up the direct link between concussions and football and while Roger Goodell has spoken about the name, he will never make the team change it, because he doesn't have the exact power to do so anyway. Many have suggested their own names and here are some from around the internet as well as some that we came up with on our own.
