Game Time: 1 p.m. ET

TV Channel- Where to Watch?: MLB NETWORK

The Tigers and A's have played two of the best playoff games so far in the 2013 postseason. Game 1 saw Yoenis Cespedes smack a two-run bomb on Friday evening, making it a one-run game with only two innings left to play. The Tigers were able to shut things down, but the A's had rattled them a little bit. Detroit had taking an early 3-0 lead, but they were unable to get any more runs across. In fact, the Tigers have played 17 innings of playoff ball without scoring a run.

Game 2 did not treat the Tigers well. In fact, it was a scoreless affair until the bottom of the ninth. Justin Verlander and Sonny Gray locked up for the best pitching performances in the 2013 playoffs, so far. However, it was the A's who got the last laugh. Cespedes started the rally and finished things by crossing the plate, scoring the winning run in the ninth, tying the series 1-1, giving the A's hope.

Today does not have the makings of another pitchers duel, instead the Tigers will have the advantage as Anibal Sanchez takes the mound. He has been a shutdown pitcher in 2013, making him a great offseason purchase. The A's will hand the ball to Jarrod Parker, who has been roughed up in his last few starts. However, this is the postseason, who knows how these guys will respond?

The winner of Game 3 takes a 2-1 series lead, with a chance to lock things up in Game 4. The Tigers are playing at home where they went 51-30. They have to be careful with the A's, who finished with a 44-37 record away from home, which was the second best road record in baseball in 2013.
