ESPN's College GameDay is still by far the most dominant college football pregame show on television and this week things are going deep purple, as Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard will travel to Evanston for the Ohio State and Northwestern game in a matchup of top 25 teams in the nation on Saturday.

GameDay has gone to Evanston once before and last covered the Wildcats a few years ago and now this matchup could be one of the best of the weekend, as the Buckeyes are ranked number four in the nation, while Northwestern is ranked number 16. The coverage from ESPN will start at 9 am with College GameDay from the Lakefill at Lake Michigan and the game will be taking place during homecoming weekend. ESPN is covering the game hard with a number of employees that are alums, including Mike Greenberg from Mike and Mike, who will be the grand marshall during homecoming weekend.

ESPN will be covering the game all day, starting with GameDay from 9 am to 12 noon and then they will have SportsCenter coverage leading up to the matchup on ABC at 8 pm. The Big 10 conference game could be one of the best of the week and it is the first within the conference for the Wildcats. Ohio State came into the year with high expectations after going undefeated last season and now the team is already 5-0 and 1-0 within the conference, while the Wildcats are 4-0 after defeating Maine last week.

Northwestern has been trending upwards for the past few years and the team has won four games in a row heading into the game against the Buckeyes, winning the opener against California before beating Syracuse, Western Michigan and Maine, making Ohio State the first big challenge in weeks. The schedule doesn't get any easier for the Wildcats, as a road game against Wisconsin is next before the team hosts Minnesota. The Wildcats will play three road games in four weeks including the Badgers, with trips to Iowa and Nebraska coming after the team plays Minnesota.

Northwestern has home games back to back against now number 19 Michigan and then against Michigan State before finishing the season against Illinois on the road. This season Northwestern has gained over 400 yards per game and they have been one of the best rushing teams in the nation, ranked 18th with nearly 250 yards per game. Ohio State will play against Iowa and Penn State next before travelling to Purdue and then Indiana and the Buckeyes will finish the season on the road against number 19 Michigan in a game that could decide the conference title.

GameDay will get started up in the morning at 9 am on ESPN and the show will preview all the top games as well as the Ohio State Buckeyes and Northwestern Wildcats game on ABC later in the night. Check here for the Watch ESPN website live stream.
