Ahmad Bradshaw Fantasy Football: Trent Richardson Top Trade Option If RB Gets Surgery As Donald Brown Best Handcuff Pickup

The fantasy football season is moving forward into week 5 after the Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills played on Thursday some owners will be looking to make big moves and one team to watch is the Indianapolis Colts, as Ahmad Bradshaw may have to get surgery.

According to ESPN.com, Bradshaw is getting an opinion to see if he needs neck surgery after suffering an injury earlier in the season and while he may need it, the running back is reluctant to get it and is considering options. Bradshaw was signed in the offseason as a possible starter with Vick Ballard, but after he was injured, the team traded for Trent Richardson and now the job is clearly his and if Bradshaw has surgery, owners should trade hard for Richardson and should try to pick up Brown as well.

Bradshaw has rushed for nearly 200 yards this season, but after getting injured in Richardson's first game against the 49ers, he missed the last game against the Jags and now he could be out for even longer, especially if he gets surgery. Bradshaw rushed for 65 yards and 26 yards in his first two games before breaking out with 95 against the Niners, but after getting injured he has yet to get back onto the field and while the Colts are 3-1, they wouldn't mind the depth at the position.

If Bradshaw gets surgery, his season it likely done and that makes Richardson and Brown even more valuable in the offense with Andrew Luck at quarterback. Richardson has been solid since coming to the Colts, rushing for two touchdowns and adding 95 yards in two games on 33 carries and as he gets more comfortable in the offense he should be even more productive. Richardson will be part of the passing offense as well once he gets more acclimated to the schemes and he could be the most valuable addition to the team all year, including the offseason.

Brown has not done much this season, but with Bradshaw possibly being out, the team is planning on using him more, especially in the passing game. While he only has 13 carries this season, he is averaging nearly 10 yards per carry while having rushed for 120 yards, most of that on the strength of a 50 yard run against the Jags. If Bradshaw comes out with surgery, Brown is a must add.
