It is pretty clear through four games the Ryan Tannehill and Mike Wallace are not on the same page. The Miami Dolphins signed the wide receiver in the offseason to become the new favorite target for the young quarterback, but so far that has not panned out as some were hoping. As Tannehill shows better chemistry with other targets, Wallace continues his complaining to the media.

First, Wallace was expressing his displeasure over his lack of targets in Week 1. The wide receiver had just five targets in Week 1, recording one catch for 15 yards. Things looked better in Week 2 as Wallace put up 115 yards on nine catches from 11 targets. Week 3 only gave him four targets and Week 4 saw Wallace with just seven targets. He has just 176 yards and one touchdown so far this year, which is a far cry from what his high-paying contract says he should be doing.

Wallace is concerned. He is begging for more deep balls from Tannehill. The wide receiver says the reason he is in Miami is to make big plays off of deep ball and so far that is not happening. As the offense remains inconsistent, Wallace believes this is the only way to start to fix things.

"I know one thing, we not going to be able to go through a whole year like that," Wallace said, via the Miami Herald.  "We have to make big plays.  We have to back defenses up.  That's what we have to do.  Extra film work, different plays, whatever it is, whatever it's going to take, we have to get it done.  We have to make big plays."

The reality is the Dolphins offensive line is not protecting Tannehill. He leads the league in fumbles and sacks absorbed. That has made things extremely difficult from a passing stand point. However, antoher issue is chemistry. Through four games, Tannehill has completed 62.7 percent of his passes to Brian Hartline and 68 percent of his passes to Brandon Gibson. He knows those two will put up yards for him while he has completed just 55.2 percent of his passes to Wallace.

It does not help that Wallace has had some key drops, unable to excel in zone coverage. It appears as if Wallace keeps running while Tannehill is expecting him to sit in a hole and catch the pass. The communication is off and Wallace is ready for that to change.

"I'm definitely worried about it because it's game four," said Wallace.  "I'm not paranoid or anything but in Week Four it's not the way I imagined my first four weeks going.  Definitely not.  I'm pretty sure it's not the way anybody imagined it going.  So for myself, and starting with myself, [quarterback] Ryan [Tannehill] and coaches, we all got to do a better job and find a way to make it work."

Fantasy owners are certainly hoping the two get on the same page. Anyone with Wallace on the roster is wondering why they are not dominating their league so far.
