Chris Johnson Fantasy Football: Tennessee Titans RB Rips Owners on Twitter, Ryan Fitzpatrick to Start Increases Running Back Value After Jake Locker Injury

Add Chris Johnson to the list of NFL players that do not care about fantasy football. After players like Ray Rice and Roddy White have spoken out against the hate they receive from fantasy owners, Johnson now feels the need to add his two cents. The Tennessee Titans running is averaging career lows so far this season and is getting an ear full from fantasy owners.

Remember when Johnson rushed for 2,000 yards some three years ago? The running back appears a long way from that now, but at one point he was considered gold in fantasy football. Prior to the start of the 2013 season, Johnson was more than confident that he could reach that goal once again. With additions like Chance Warmack on the offensive line, it seemed possible.

"I know I have another 2,000-yard season in me," Johnson said, via CBSSports.com. "I would love to get 2,000 yards again, but I haven't been to the playoffs since my rookie year. I want to get back there."

However, through four games, Johnson is averaging just 3.3 yards a yard and 3.0 yards per catch. He has not scored a touchdown yet for the Titans. On Sunday, he was held to just 21 yards on 15 carries as Tennessee went on to beat the New York Jets. After that performance, fantasy owners let him hear it. So, Johnson had a little message of his own.

"Public service announcement: I can care less about fantasy football. Key word fantasy. As long as we win I'm happy. I rush for 200 n lose y'all happy," Johnson tweeted. "U r the head coach n the owner of ur fantasy team so u should be mad at urself I didn't ask any of u to draft me so if I'm so sorry y start me."

Johnson is right, he did not ask anyone to draft him, but he did make that statement about how many yards he would rush this season. He made a big deal after the Titans added bodies to the offensive line, acting like the team was finally caring about him. There was also that large contract he demanded. So far, Johnson has not lived up to the deal.

Fantasy owners should have learned by now to never buy into the Johnson hype. He certainly can help win games, but ultimately his reputation as a fantasy killer continues to grow with each week. Owners should really just be happy they do not have Steven Jackson or Trent Richardson on their roster. With Jake Locker out with injury and Ryan Fitzpatrick the likely starter for the Titans, Johnson could see an increased work load and possibly help some owners out.
