Here is the TV schedule for the Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Cincinnati Reds in the 2013 N.L. Wild Card Game. Have you been under a rock? In case you had not heard, the N.L. Wild Card Game settles business between the top two teams that could not finish in first place in their division. Here is the date, game time and TV-channel info for this pivotal ball game feature N.L. Central rivals.

Date: Tuesday, Oct. 1

Game Time: 8 p.m. ET

TV Channel- Where to Watch?: TBS

Okay Reds and Pirates fans, this here is the info you need. For those who work late shifts, now you know on which day you have to call out. The Reds and Pirates will face each other for the seventh time in less than two weeks. The matchup favorites the team from Pittsburgh for a couple of reasons.

Once, after raking in the final week of the season, winning five of six, the Pirates comfortably took second place in the N.L. Central, which translates into first place in the N.L. Wild Card. The Reds were right behind them in the Central standings, but they eventually fell back. As a result, the Pirates will host the N.L. Wild Card Game at PNC Park, so they will be in front of their fans. However, look in the crowd for some red gear as Cincinnati is not that far away from Pittsburgh.

The Pirates also like this matchup because they are coming off a three-game sweep of the Reds. Their pitching stepped up, allowing a total of six earned runs in three games, while their offense poured it on, scoring 16 runs in the series. It has been a magical season for the Pirates as they are in the playoffs for the first time since 1992. Playing and losing in the N.L. Wild Card Game will leave the City of Pittsburgh hungry for more, which would not be bad, especially since fans would expect their team to feel the same way, if they don't go all the way.

The Reds deserve credit for hanging in there. They remained hungry all season long despite not being able to climb out of the third spot. They were briefly in second place, but the Pirates took care of that this past week. The Reds could have easily given up as the Pirates and Cardinals selfishly controlled the division, but instead, the Reds fought and made the N.L. Central extremely interesting to follow.

The N.L. Wild Card Game is for all the marbles. Don't miss any of the action as the Reds and Pirates face off in 24 hours.
